Golden Stars shine at Australasia awards ceremony

The fifth annual Transdev Australasia (TDA) Golden Star Awards ceremony took place at the TDA head offices on 8 December, with the winners and their partners flown to Melbourne for the special occasion.

TDA received 408 nominations for the 2016 awards, 124 of which were from Auckland. The nominations for the eight categories – Safety Hero, Safety Innovation, Commitment, Partnership, Passion, Performance, Customer Service and the CEO Award – were of a particularly high calibre and selecting the winners took the awards committee several hours of deliberation.

Transdev Auckland’s Joseph Gomes, Joel O’Dea and Maninder Singh had deservedly made the awards shortlist, with Joseph receiving the Passion Award from CEO René Lalande for his positive attitude and dedicated to his role.

After the official awards ceremony, which was attended by all staff at the TDA head office, the winners enjoyed lunch with the executive team before heading to the North Fitzroy depot for a tour of our Melbourne bus operations.

Congratulations to Joel, Maninder, Joseph and all the 2016 Golden Star Awards winners!
